LUX-ZEPLIN
LZ is an approved DOE project, and will seek interactions of Weakly Interacting Massive Particles inside an active mass consisting of 7 tonnes of liquid xenon. The experiment will take place at the Sanford Underground Research Facility in Lead, South Dakota, in the Davis Laboratory 4,850 feet underground. The current start date for operations is 2018.
