MEASUREMENT OF THE NUCLEAR DEPENDENCE AND MOMENTUM TRANSFER DEPENDENCE OF QUASIELASTIC (E, E-PRIME P) SCATTERING AT LARGE MOMENTUM TRANSFER
Makes coincidence measurements of the quasielastic (e, e’p) cross-section on several nuclei, from carbon to gold, in the Q**2 range of 1 to 7 (GeV/c)**2. One of the aims is to look for evidence of color transparency. Uses the 1.6 GeV/c spectrometer for detection of electrons, and the 8 GeV/c spectrometer for recoil proton detection.
